My little pets.

I have mentioned before that Sabrina and I like to spend time out side. Both of us garden, I grow the vegies and she takes care of the flowers and herbs.

As any good gardener will tell you, bug control is key, and nothing controls bugs like this preying mantis here. What make this guy so special is that we hatched him (or her).

I bought a mantis egg this year at the farmers market and hatched about 150 of these woderful bug eating aliens. Even so it is pretty rare to see one, they are very well camouflaged, but I saw this one climbing on a sunflower stalk, and snapped a (blurry) photo.

Black out.
