If you had to choose?
There is a great "Extra" scene on the Pulp Fiction DVD where Vincent and Mrs. Wallace discuss the issue of, "are you an Elvis man or a Beatles man". It turns out that both prefer Elvis, if they had to choose.

With the Stones show just in town I was reminded that there are several one or the other bands, so here are my picks:

Elvis or the Beatles: I have huge respect for both, but I'm not crazy about either. Having said that I'd still go Beatles all the way.

Rolling Stones or The Who: The Who, I have a few Stones albums but none of them mean as much to me as my Who CDs.

Iron Maiden/Judas Priest: This is tuff, both bands would be in my top 30 of all-time, but if I had to choose, I'd go Iron Maiden.

Soundgarden/Pearl Jam: Please, Soundgarden by a mile!

Nirvana/Foo Fighters: I vote Foo Fighters.

Eric Clapton or Stevie Ray Vaughan: Clapton wins my respect for versatility and longevity, but most of the time I'd rather listen to SRV.

Steve Vai/Joe Satriani: Both! I think Steve has given us a wider variety of music and it speaks directly to me as well as just about anything I can think of, So I'll go Vai

Zeppelin/Sabbath: again both would be in my top 30, but Zeppelin had more variety, and better musicians at each position. Give me Led Zeppelin
