NHL and Life
First, You may have noticed I've been missing from the WRIF lineup for a few days. Sabrina (my Wife) took a turn for the worse, and I've had my hands full taking care of her. Thanks to the WRIF staff and all the listeners for your support!
The NHL trade deadline has passed and the team that helped themselves the most was the Edmonton Oilers, who picked up a quality goaltender in Dwayne Roloson and then managed to snag Sergei Samsonov as well.
Other notes of interest:
Ottawa who have been one of the top teams all year added some depth by acquiring Tyler Arnason.
NY Rangers added Sandis Ozolinsh
Hurricanes picked up Mark Recchi
Detroit traded Jamie Rivers to Phoenix for a 7th round pick
And Colorado and Montreal swapped goalies With Theodore and Aebischer trading sweaters.
Black out.
